British actor Orlando Bloom is set to propose to American girlfriend Kate Bosworth at next week's Empire Film Awards in London. The Lord Of The Rings star, 27, will reportedly be getting down on one knee to ask for the 21-year-old Blue Crush actress's hand in marriage at the glitzy ceremony. The heartthrob - hotly tipped to pick up the award for Best British Actor for his efforts in the Oscar-nominated epic The Lord Of The Rings: The Return Of The King - is hoping to surprise Bosworth when she least expects a proposal.
An insider tells British tabloid Daily Star, "Orlando likes to keep tight-lipped about his personal life but he's made no secret of the fact that he's smitten with Kate. You just have to see them together to realize what good team they make. Most couples would struggle given the fact that Kate is based in Los Angeles and Orlando in London, but they both just know it's right."
